oakley snow pants

Oakley Snow Pants Question?

I have a pair of oakley snowboarding pants that i got last year for Christmas. There are buttons on the belt loops and i was wondering if anyone knew what they were for. It looks as if a jacket may be able to connect to it some how, but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

thats known as a gaiter.
basically, you can use them for two different things.
the main thing is for a snow barrier. if you want to use them, your going to want to tighten your powder skirt on your jacket (if you have one), and then clip the buttons to the gaiter buttons on your jacket, and no snow will get in GUARANTEED.
the other reason is to sag. i know, sag. it's dumb. since the gaiter can keep your pants up, posers like to sag a ton with pants two sizes larger then they're supposed to be. and by the way, they all look like pieces of shit.
