Help choosing jacket!?

Hi, I want a new snowboarding jacket! I want something I can wear at home () and on the slopes. Nothing to flashy or out there! have about £150 to spent. My last jacket was fox racing (bracket) and it served me well, but quickly lost its waterproofing and wasn't very warm! had to pile on the layer! even in the UK. I'm loving some of the burton jackets around.

To be honest I dont think i will get to go snowboarding this winter but want to be able to use it all winter and still be waterproof enough to make a trip to the slopes next year!

Any advice would be great!
