Snowboard waxing question?
Alright I have a 2008 Burton Clash. I have this 1/4" deep scratch on the bottom of my board. its a decent divot. What would be the best way of fixing this. could I just fill it with rub on wax?
Nah, it will wear out after one session and you'll be left with the same problem. go to your local ski/board shop and ask for p-tex candles. its basically the stuff that the base of your board is made of, just in a stick. light one end of the ptex stick on fire and drip the melting plastic into the scratch. let it harden, and scrape off the excess. same idea as filling it with wax, but it just doesnt wear out. That was a very brief explanation on how to do that. google it for a more detailed walk through about how to p-tex your board properly. hope this helps.
